A Wild Woman's Love Letter

You taught me how to love the best of everything.

You coaxed my heart and soul out into the open.

You made me believe in myself by believing in me.

You held me against your chest, and never let me go.

You took me on an adventurous journey to the far corners of the earth.

We laughed and we danced in Australia.

We wept and rejoiced in Africa.

We had fallings and failings, and risings and triumphs.

You encouraged me to be myself, no matter how outrageous I was, or how insufferable my naughtiness.

Deep down you knew why I was reckless, uncontrollable, and wild.

You loved me because of it.

You still do.

We confronted seemingly insurmountable challenges,

and experienced overwhelming victories.

No one could tear us apart because together we are better.

We are twin flames – one soul incarnated in two humans, engaging with different

approaches while sharing deeply rooted core values.

You are my compass, the ballast on my ship, and the cornerstone of my foundation.

You gently and capably hold the reigns to the course of my life.

I don’t know where I’d be without you, I don’t know who you’d be without me.

How did we get this far, how did it happen so quickly and why did it take so long?

Does time stand still for us as we twirl around it, or have we catapulted our souls

through this galaxy to purposely expedite our leap to the next?

Should we be in a hurry?

Or, is time an illusion designed especially for our soul’s journey?

There was no beginning, and there will be no end.

You taught me to love the best of everything.

My eternal everything is you. #thirtyyearsandcounting
